Hala is your go to for hassle-free taxi rides! We help you find a taxi by connecting you with a nearby taxi driver, whom we call Captains, in either Dubai or Ras Al-Khaimah through the Careem Platform.
No, Hala solely focuses on providing convenient e-hailing services. The taxis are owned and operated by third party transport service providers, who also employ the Captains.
“Hala” means “hello” in Arabic. And just as a hearty hello sets the tone for a great conversation, the “Hala” in Hala Ride is a warm welcome to our customers and an invitation to start their trip on a cheerful note.

Download the Careem app from the Apple Store or Google Play store. Create an account with your name and mobile number, and enter a strong password. Once you’ve signed up, select the Hala Taxi icon and type in your drop-off and pickup locations. Choose the type of car you want, and you’re all set!

To know the Hala Taxi pricing for your city, follow these few short steps:
  1. First, open the Careem Platform.
  2. Tap on the Hala Taxi icon.
  3. Next, go to the Menu and click on Help.
  4. Navigate to the FAQs section and click on What are Careem’s rates?
  5. At the top right corner, you’ll see an option to browse through all the cities where Careem operates.
  6. Choose either Dubai or Ras-al Khaimah and then hit See rates.
  7. Finally, scroll through the car types until you find the Hala options. Tap on it to get all the details about our pricing and rates.
 

To create a Careem account you need a valid email address and mobile number.

Download the app for your iOS or Android device and sign up with your mobile number. You may use an international number as long as the number is active to receive SMS.

To make sure it’s your real number, we’ll send you a verification code via SMS which you need to enter to sign up. If the SMS with the code does not arrive, you can request a call from the same screen.

Once your number is verified, you’re ready to use Careem!

Alternatively, if you're comfortable with linking your Facebook profile to your Careem account, you can sign up via Facebook. The app will redirect you to a Facebook page where the email and password are required to authorize Careem usage.

During the sign-up process, we ask you for your email address. We need your email address for instances where you may have forgotten your password and need to receive instructions via email on how to reset it. We also send you detailed ride receipts via email.

You can also create an account on the web at www.careem.com.

 

In the Careem Pay section, press on Add Card which will lead you to a simple form, simply enter these details and press Save.

For some cards, you will be redirected to enter an OTP sent to your mobile number associated with the card and your card will be added upon successful authentication.

Careem may charge you a small amount to verify your card that will automatically be refunded to your card.

Lost and Found matters are handled by the transport authorities in the cities where we operate.

You can currently get picked up in a Hala taxi from anywhere in Dubai or Ras Al-Khaimah and can be dropped off in any emirate! We will take you wherever you need to go.

Dynamic peak fare is a fare multiplier which is automatically activated during busy periods, that include but are not limited to, rush hours in high density areas, times of special events/exhibitions, or when there's unfavorable weather conditions. Absolutely. At Hala Ride, your safety is our number one priority. All our taxis are equipped with GPS tracking and monitored in real time. As soon as you book a ride, you’ll receive your Captain’s contact details, the car type, and plate number. You can also send a live tracking link of your trip to your family and friends to let them know your current location and where you’re headed at all times.
